Elena POV:
I woke up on the ground of the woods. I frantically kept looking around. How did I get here? I suddenly heard cracking noises of rushed footsteps. I aimed to hide behind a tree, but I caught a glimpse of the person it looked like a middle aged woman dressed in a long green dress. What is she wearing?
"Are you okay dear?" she asked. I hesitantly nodded not trusting her yet. She smiled at me and continued "you are from the future, I sensed great amount of magic surging in this area and I came as fast as I could, I can Tell that you are from the future by the clothes you are wearing."
I smiled and thanked her "I am from the year 2011 do you mind telling me what year it is now?" she smiled a genuine smile and answered "well of course not, it is year 1011 and you are far from the future."
My jaw dropped to the floor and my eyes were as wide as saucers. Holy this is when the originals turn, they are still human. The woman laughed at my expression and said "I am Ayanna, you can tell everybody that your village were attacked by the wolves and that you are the only survivor, and that I am a family friend that you sought refuge through-" before she could finish her sentence a black mist started forming next to me, I fell to the ground and began to scramble towards Ayanna. The mist formed Caroline.
As soon as her eyes landed on me she sprang toward me and enveloped me with a bone crushing hug "ELENA!" she screamed. She then noticed Ayanna. After the introductions, Ayanna explained to Caroline what she said to me before she arrived. After knowing what year we are in Caroline and I exchanged knowing looks. We then explained to Ayanna what is to happen to the Mikaelsons. We followed her to her hut where she handed us dresses and said that we are to meet the Mikaelsons tomorrow, and that bringing us back might take at least 5 months.
The next morning we headed towards the Mikaelsons. We were greeted by the door by Esther, she eyed me and Caroline before she smiled and gestured for us to come in. Mikael stood inside the house and he looked even scarier than when I met him in the future. Esther then yelled "children come here." She turned towards us again and asked "who are these charming ladies you have here Ayanna?" before Ayanna could answer the originals stepped in the room and eyed us confusingly "these are my children Elijah, Finn, Niklaus, Kol, Rebekah, and Henrik." "hello children, and to answer your question Esther, I was a friend of their mother's, their village was attacked by the wolves and they are the only survivors, the poor girls sought my refuge." All the Mickelson gave us sympathetic smiles and Esther said "I am sorry for your loss" me and Caroline just sadly smiled at her, yes we were lying but we did miss everyone in the future so badly already. "why don't you and my children go and walk through the woods, get to know each other, I am sure they would love that." We headed towards the woods. Rebekah then looked towards us and said " I am truly sorry for your loss" I then remembered Aunt Jenna, John, Mom, Dad, and Isobel. I was brought back from my thoughts by Caroline's soft voice "Elena?" I looked up and I noticed that a few tears had escaped my eyes, I wiped them and smiled at Rebekah and said "it's okay." Then something I never expected to happen did Rebekah pulled me into a hug and said "It is going to be alright, it will get better." As she pulled away to hug Caroline, I noticed that that the bothers looked uncomfortable and the sympathy and sadness was visible in their eyes. They looked so human at that moment that's because they still are, genius I ignored the voice in my head and said "thank you, it is hard we miss them so very dearly, but we will be alright." When we reached our cabins the originals left but not without Rebekah throwing a "I shall come tomorrow to help you get new dresses, farewell." I sighed as I closed the hut door, and played my head against it. This is all just too weird already…what are we going to do?
