Disclaimer: I don't own FMA or any of the characters.

Crows screeched in the background, sitting on their perches high up in the leafless trees, seeming to be watching over head of the graveyard. The setting sun gave everything around the people weeping and crying over the person's funeral, a dark under tone kind of look. The minister spoke over the crying, wishing and praying that the dead will be sent to a better place, instead of the unrelenting depths of hell.

A feeling of dread and misery weighed heavily in the air as the me and women stood around the burial sight and thought about the wonderful, more happier days when the young dead one was alive, and so too for his dead love. For, you see, the two were both being buried in a large casket that wasn't at all the same as any other, so that they would always be side by side for the rest of eternity.

It seemed like anyone they had met, whether they had known them for a short time or for a few years, they were there to give their condolences. Death is inevitable and everyone knows that, the thought is usually just stored in the back of everyone's mind. Death is, and always will be, something that everyone has to deal with sometime in their lives, and yet people still cry at funerals. Maybe it's because the thought that maybe the person that's dead didn't live long enough or because they'll miss them.

Nobody really knows why they cry at funerals. That's just the way life works, when someone dies the people that were close to them grieve and mourn for a while, but after a while they stop and realize that they won't come back and they move on with their lives. Sure, they'll sometimes reminisce and remember the days when they wee alive, but they still move on. The sad truth is that everyone sometime in their life has to deal with death, whether it be a loved one or them dying themselves, death is and always will be inevitable that's just how God made the world work.

Which makes you wonder, why would God create human life at all, when we're just all going to die in the end. No one knows what God's big plan could be to have such creatures like us humans exist. Maybe He was bored one day and decided to create the universe on that first day and then on the second day He just decided that the universe was missing something, so until that sixth day He created everything that you see around you. But what would be the point in making us humans, who are so flawed and yet so perfect in His eyes, that can destroy everything that He made, that was supposed to be beautiful, with lies, sex, poverty, and war.

Maybe we're supposed to fight along side Him when Lucifer brings on the apocalypse. Maybe by putting us through all that we go through He's trying to see who handles everything in the best way or who still believes in Him after all they go through. So He can choose the right people to fight along His side up in heaven. Whatever the case maybe, no one knows why He would create something so flawed.

The prayers spilling from the minister's chapped lips were coming to an end as everyone wished the two that lay dead in the coffin an eternity filled with happiness and peace. The funeral ended and everyone went their separate ways hoping that the two wouldn't go to the deep depths of hell. The two did some horrible things and they made mistakes that not everyone make but other than that, they were all around good people.

A light misty fog covered the cemetery grounds as the nocturnal animals came out to play and night time noises rung in the air…
