A/n: Hey guys while waiting for the next chapter of After The Refusal here is a story for a slight idea of what Darkscars are like.
Disclaimer: I wish I did own Vampire Diaries however I don't so that is that and no harm done.
Story:
A creature from the shadows watched as Anna and Damon were lying on the ground with the other vampires immobilized by vervain. Just as Jon Gilbert was raising the stake to plunge it into Anna's chest a black as midnight creature with what looked like scars with magma just under the surface interposed itself between Anna and the stake. The stake on contact with the diamond hard skin of the Darkscar caused it to splinter and burn. The Darkscar stood up and spoke in a voice that sounded worse than a sick cat caterwauling. It Said "I am the Lord of the Darkscars, Ruler of eternal darkness and King of all undead and you are attacking a helpless favourite of mine now you die." Jon Gilbert was so scared imagine meeting Lord Voldermort, Adolf Hitler, Ivan the Terrible and Atilla the Hun combined. But Jon never being one to show fear said "if you would just let me explain-" but the Darkscar did not want to listen to him and said in a voice that sent chills to even the vampire's bones "like you let her mother explain like you were going to let her explain. I am not some one you want to get on the bad side of. Luckily for you I am in a generous mood so how does this sound. Release Anna and Damon and I will consider giving you a quick death otherwise I promise it will be long and painful." Jon was fraught with conflict he could either free two vampires and die quickly or kill all vampires and die slowly. The Darkscar forgot to mention that a slow painful death meant he would suffer for ten years before he was allowed to die at which point his soul would be ripped from his body and locked in a Soul Cage. "I am getting impatient hurry up with your decision before I make it for you." The Darkscar said in an irritated voice. Jon decided that letting two vampires go is the lesser of two and he was ready to accept how he would die. The Darkscar raised his hand and from his fingers shot metre long talons sharper than any substance found on earth. The talons were plunged right into Jon's heart killing him instantly then the Darkscar picked up both Anna and Damon and left the cellar but not before muttering a quick Darkscar spell that caused all blood in the bodies to turn to oil. Then he left a spark in the fuel that was poured on the floor and in seconds the room was nothing more than an inferno. The Darkscar dragged them out and disappeared . Anna and Damon finally recovered from the vervain and returned to their respective groups. Damon Salvatore with Elena Gilbert and Stefan Salvatore and Anna went back to Jeremy Gilbert and everything was peaceful but as you know nothing stays peaceful for long in Mystic falls.
