Kissing Penny
"Gumball? Carrie, Gumball and I broke up," said Penny.
Carrie froze and looked down on herself. Her pale white skin was turning white and was fading away.
"Really? What happened?" asked Carrie, hoping it wasn't too much to ask.
"Back at Tobias's party, he was making out with Teri. I think guys were cheering him on and saying he was a hot shot," said Penny. "I guess that's what happens when you get drunk."
"Yeah, I guess," Carrie said. "You get drunk, do something and end of story." There was a long pause of silence.
"What do you mean?" Penny asked. Carrie felt ashamed of herself. Part of her wanted to take it back and didn't want to end a friendship. But part of her didn't want to take it back. Carrie wanted to know.
"I thought we decided to not fight about this," said Penny.
"I know," said Carrie, "I just thought we should talk about it."
"Talk about what?" Penny asked. "There's nothing to talk about."
"There is! Remember?"
"About what?"
"That night at Joe's party."
A long pause was placed.
"We were drunk."
"You were drunk," said Carrie. "I wasn't."
