Hello! I am Hossesnfeffer and completely new to the TDI/TDA fandom! Hope you'll enjoy my story! It's a bit angst-y but you know how it goes, right? Lol. This is based on a bad relationship I got out of a few years ago, so I apologize if the characters are OOC. My friend suggested I write it out so I can finally move on, haha. Hopefully this is okay!

If you don't like girl/girl then you have to wrong story :D ANYWAYS! Let us continue!

Oh, my friend said I should start with a meaningful quote or something like all the big authors. Well, this was the first love note.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet

- Shakespeare

There was a girl, and I fell in love. Simple as that.

The rest is all details.

I suppose we start by introducing ourselves - hullo. My name is Gwen, and my last name is not important at this moment in time. Undoubtedly as I get into the flow of things you'll hear it now and again. And your name is…?

Oh, I really like that name. It suits you, really. (She smiles)

Now like I was saying, there was a girl, and I fell in love, and if I put it like that then there would be an entirely different ending - no, forgive me, pausing place.

Mind if I smoke? (One sharp click breaks the silence of the room) sorry. It's a habit I picked up from Duncan (laughs)

Anyways, let me continue.

There was a girl, and I fell in love. Her name was Heather.

There we go, that brings us closer to where I am now.

Heather was…

The first time I saw her, I couldn't help but notice her - after all she was beautiful. More so than any creature I had ever seen before, so I turned back to my sketchbook and flipped to a new page. There were at least a dozen of Trent, Duncan - the guys. A girl would be a nice change of pace. She only walked by, hardly sparing me a glance, but I swear I'll remember that walk for the rest of my life.

Shoulders back, head high, and long, elegant strides which only her legs could pull off. Never in my lifetime will I forget that walk.

"Damn that bitch is a hottie," Duncan whistled after Heather turned the corner and peeked over my shoulder, "and that looks nothing like her,"

Self-consciously I hugged my sketchbook to my chest and pushed him away lightly, "This is just the very beginning stages of the drawing. And anyways, how do you know it's her?"

Duncan smirked, "well, you just told me, didn't you?"

Despite failing grades Duncan was smarter than most people I knew.

"Wanna go outside and get a smoke?"

"Ew, that's disgusting. You're going to end up killing yourself,"

That was the first time I saw her, and probably the beginning to everything, but, the details in there are unimportant, so - oh? You're leaving? (Gwen checks her watch and makes a face) it's later than I thought. Just know that we won't be picking up here tomorrow. I just wanted to paint the picture.

Can't wait to see you again.

The rain was hard and heavy and landing on my umbrella almost violently. I stood outside her gate with wet socks and an umbrella that was too small to cover my backpack. It felt like I had been waiting there forever, listening to the soundtrack of my heart beating in my ears.

Then the door opened, and she came out, tossed her hair over her shoulder and glanced at me without a hint of joy.

More than anything, I loved her.
