I do not own True Blood, but I do crave it.
Dinner.
There's a table set in the dining room of the house. Candles, place settings, flowers… the works.
She walks into the room, cautious and confused. Was she interrupting a party? Were they having friends over for a meal? He had told her to come over at this time, a rare opportunity when his mother would not be overbearingly present…
She peers into the kitchen and he's there, fussing around the fridge. Approaching and leaning in the doorway, she makes her presence known.
"Well hi there" she says, a coy smile playing on her lips and raised eyebrow.
"Quick, sit down" he says, grinning like a fool.
Still curious she sits down. They've never eaten together before, it would be impossible.
She thinks he might have even lost some weight since they started seeing each other, humans were always forgetting to eat around vampires.
He comes out of the kitchen with two bowls, both red.
He puts one down in front of her and then seats himself down with the other.
She's amused now, one of them would not be able to eat whatever was in the bowls, what was he playing at?
Eyes never leaving his as they stared playfully at each other, she dipped her pinkie finger gently into the hot liquid and raised it to her lips.
"True blood?"
"Yep"
"Have you had this stuff before Hoyt?"
"Uh... yeah it's, it's real tasty jess…" she laughed as he pulled an awkward face.
"So you're going to drink it again then?"
"Uh no. you've got the blood, I'm sticking with tomato soup" he lowered his spoon in and took a sip, eyes still on hers as she smiled widely.
"My first proper dinner date, I love it"
I can't get these two out of my head!
