A/N: Written for MelodyPond77's Graphic Design Competition, written to accompany my image submission. I really wanted to play with the idea of beauty, balance, and purity when I wrote this, so yep! Have fun reading!
"Silena Ashington isn't a full wizard... Actually, she isn't fully human".
The world is run on balance. How else could it run? Between magic and muggles? Between the pure and unpure? Everything is balance. The balance between purity and tarnish. To be truthful, I find the true beauty in the balance itself.
Some things in life were never meant to be pure...like my blood. Part elf, part wizard, one of a kind. There is beauty in me. I represent the combination of the unexpected. Touched and untouched at the same time; my existence a paradox in itself... Well perhaps not a paradox, as magic is typically the answer to these types of questions.
But other things in life are better left untouched. Things like nature and fate come to mind, and perhaps even magic. There is a certain beauty that only purity can bring. The moon I see every night, it reminds me of my people: vibrant with a darkened beauty; pure and untouched by man.
As well as beauty in the balance, there lies power in balance. A certain power that only supposed paradoxes like myself can hold and unleash. It is like combining the uncombinable. Creating the uncreatable. I hold the power of all. But at the end of the day, all you are left with is me and the mirror of myself, called the moon.
A/N: So yep, that's that. Hope you enjoyed my little drabble!
