Team six watched as their Sensei stared down his rival, Kakashi Hatake. Though Kakashi considered this sort of meeting to be personal, Gai enjoyed having his team present to share in the spectacle. His team, however, even his favorite student Rock Lee, was uncomfortable being brought into their Sensei's personal dealing.
Kakashi doesn't drag his team along for this, Neji thought as Gai inquired "So, you think you're better than me Kakashi?"
"No Gai," Kakashi replied, sounding irritated. "I don't think I'm better than you."
"I think that." Neji said directly.
"Excuse me Neji, but the grown-ups are talking." Gai said.
Then why are you still talking? You condescending son of a bitch, Neji thought darkly.
Gai continued "You certainly aren't Kakashi. Or should I say—dickashi!"
Kakashi sighed as Gai cackled hysterically at his juvenile word-play humor. Team six, though, was embarrassed.
"Could we go now, Sensei?" Tenten asked.
"Sure. You can run along now kids. I think I showed him." Gai said victoriously.
Bitterly, Neji thought This is the last time, Sensei.
Someday, Gai would be publicly humiliated, as they had been.
After getting back from their Sensei's altercation, team six was not speaking to him.
Neji stared coldly at his teacher, who still laughed obnoxiously.
"You," he said quietly "You disgust me."
"Neji," Tenten said "I know that Gai-sensei embarrassed you, but you need to let it go."
Neji scoffed. "He's an idiot—I mean look at him."
"Dickashi! It's funny because he's a dick! I got to remember that one!" Gai yelled.
"I can't believe he laughed about that all day." Neji said.
Gai continued to laugh so hard that he almost pissed his pants.
He ran to the nearest bathroom, which he found, unfortunately for him, was occupied.
"Great!" Gai said "I'll just have to wait."
What he didn't know was that the person using the bathroom was Kakashi.
Passing by, Lee stopped to see what his teacher was up to.
"What are doing, Gai-sensei?" he asked.
Gai was straining. "I'm just waiting for the bathroom." he said. "But I can't wait much longer."
After what seemed an eternity to Gai, Kakashi walked out, holding a novel. "Oh, I'm sorry— I didn't know anyone was waiting." Kakashi said casually. "It's all yours Gai."
Lee turned to look at his Sensei, who was standing rigidly with a homicidal look on his face.
"Are you alright Gai-sensei?" Lee asked.
"Well, Lee—I'm pissed." Gai said stiffly.
"Oh, I am sorry—
"And I'm also mad at Kakashi!" Gai yelled. "I— have to go home— and—and change." he said uncomfortably.
The two of them returned to Gai's house, were the other members of team six remained.
Lee came in and sat quietly among his team mates.
Neji threw a glance in Gai's direction as he walked through the door. To Neji's surprise, Gai's clothes were wet, and he looked mortified.
Neji cracked a smirk and said "Well, looks like payback's a bitch."
"Neji," Lee said sternly, trying hard not to laugh "Shut up, you should be more sensitive of Gai-sensei."
Neji, however, went on to ask "Sensei, was it an accident this time?"
Tenten began to giggle.
Looking even more mortified Gai responded defiantly "Oh you can just go to hell Hyuuga."
He rushed to his room calling back "Kakashi wins this round!"
"You are wrong, Neji." Lee said, through restrained laughter. "I think that Gai-sensei has taught us a valuable lesson."
"Yeah," Neji said "You don't mess with Kakashi Hatake."
THE END
