Twilight Sparkle and her friends rush to Canterlot after being urgently summoned there by Princess Celestia.

"What's wrong? What's the emergency?" shouts Twilight as she runs into the palace. Twilights friends murmur in agreement.

"Calm down my little ponies, there is no emergency" says the Princess.

"Then what's the urgent news?" asks Rainbow Dash.

"I am afraid Nightmare Moon has…"

"Nightmare Moon!" shout the mane six.

"Allow me to continue," states the Princess, "As I was saying, I am afraid that Nightmare Moon is gone."

"Well we knew that." shouts the frustrated Rainbow Dash.

"Permanently." Princess Luna says as she enters the room, "Even after you saved Equestria from Nightmare Moon, she lived inside of me constantly trying to regain control."

"And…" inquires the impatient Rainbow Dash receiving only a glare from Twilight as an answer.

"Nightmare Moon was almost like a sister to me, although her ideals were very flawed and she took control over me and nearly took control of Equestria, but after living with somepony for what seems like and may have been my entire life, I couldn't help but feel attached to her. And yesterday she relented her constant battle for control. Today, however I cannot feel her presence and I discovered a note on my desk written to me."

Princess Luna,

Our clash of wills over the ages has tired me beyond even your comprehension. It is maddening to see through another's eyes but never touch. To hear a pony's voice but are powerless to respond. I can no longer stand being trapped in another pony's body. This letter is a goodbye to all who remember, I am leaving you sister and I hope to find solace in solitude.

Nightmare Moon

"Originally, I thought she intended to end her life, but I was surprised to find a filly in my bed next to me" says Princess Luna.

A jet black alicorn filly with partially translucent hair like Princess Luna trots into the room, "I'm hungry, Mommy."

"In a minute, dear." Princess Luna says to the filly.

"As you can see, summoning the last of her power, Nightmare Moon managed to escape from my body and because Nightmare Moon lived within me ever since I was a filly, her body is that of a filly. She has also regained the innocence of childhood. I do however, fear that the corruption of Nightmare Moon may lie dormant within her. I ask you, the wielders of the Elements of Harmony, to raise Pandora."

"What?" cries the mane six.

"She's your daughter, sort of!" shouts Rainbow Dash receiving another glare from Twilight.

"Due to my duties as a Princess and my connection with her I am unable to raise her. And I cannot think of a more worthy group of ponies as you to raise her well and possibly even to become my successor as Princess of the Night."

All the ponies are stunned, including Princess Celestia.

"You're giving me away?" cries Pandora as tears well up in her eyes, "You don't want me to be your daughter anymore?

"It's not like that", answers Princess Luna, "My dear child, I am unable to raise you but you will forever be my little filly."

"Here, take this locket," Luna says as she magically places a golden locket containing a picture of Luna, "Any day you feel lonely, look in this locket and remember me."

"But, but…" whimpers Pandora.

"No buts. I do love you Pandora." Luna says as she nuzzles with Pandora.

"Goodbye, Mommy" Says Pandora as she walks over to Twilight, tears streaming down her cheeks, "I love you too."

Back in Ponyville, they decide who gets Pandora on each day. On Sundays, Twilight. On Mondays, Applejack. On Tuesdays, Rainbow Dash. On Wednesday, Fluttershy. On Thursdays, Rarity. On Fridays, Pinkie Pie. And on Saturdays, they will all spend a day together.
