Prompt; " there's a hard choice to make, the reader says "staring at your coffee is not going to make it magically give you the answer." w/ Gibbs. on the edge of a romantic relationship possibly? "

"God Tobias, what have you gotten yourself into now?" Gibbs muttered to himself in the comforts of his own home. Sitting at the basic carved wooden table, rubbing the edges of his coffee mug. With a painful scrunched up face, head shaking in anger, and sleep-deprived.

With the enlighting news that his friend had lied and placed, possibly, the wrong man in jail for several years. The recent actions of the re-opened case bringing the truth to light had caused quite a hiccup in his day. Now stuck deciding between making what seemed to be the worlds hardest choice within two hours before court fell. Either one weighing with heavy consequences. Both easily could mess up a mans life, changing the course forever. Either destroyed a friendship or putting the wrong man away.

Days like today made the male hate his job as much as he loved working. Staring into the abyss of darker liquid that filled the white mug, lost in thought and struggling to find an answer. He wasn't quite sure if he had actually heard his front door open gracefully, and the soft squeaking floorboards under the weight before a sweet, feminine voice, sure of herself interrupted him from his deep thought. [Y/N]. A not so recent addition to the team.

"Staring at your coffee is not going to make it magically give you the answer."

The voice informed him, causing his eyes to glance up to meet the emeralds in front of him. Rolling his eyes in bare annoyance. He finally lifted to cup to his lips, that was barely on the edge of warmth for sitting untouched for quite some time.

"What's in the bag?"

Gibbs grunted, head nodding towards the small bag, doubled, to keep the contents inside a secret. Though, his already-bothered gut didn't have to second-guess itself when his mind instantly clicked. He was aware, knowing the other for quite some time, she commonly came over with the contents of alcohol filling a tightened bag in her grip.

"Something that will."

She teased, placing the brown bag on the counter and pulling out the medium-sized bottle of fine liquor. Bourbon. His favourite, and an acquired taste to anyone who knew him well enough to share a glass. Twisting the bottle on the tips of the bottle to share the brand. A smirk crossing his lips as he hastily escaped from the chair, darting to grab another cup from the cabinet and pouring out his coffee, barely rinsing it before attacking her with both cups as she poured greedy cups for the two.

"If you think you made the wrong choice after the court, you can always blame it on the alcohol."
