For love of the Moon
He looked up to the sky above
And there he saw a reminder of his love
Glittering, shimmering in the sky
His heart hurt so much, it made him cry
Because farther away, on that same Moon
She was barely alive, awaiting her doom
Scarred and bleeding, there she lay
Waiting for death to take her away
But before she left, she said I love you
And he looked to the sky, cause he heard it too
And knowing that she loved him, he drew his sword
Piercing his tattered heart to nothing more
Up in heaven, high above,
He looks around, and finds his love
He holds her tightly, because she loves him still
And kisses her senseless, 'til he's had his fill
They await their friends, up there in the sky
Shedding many tears as they watch them die
And is happy because they will be leaving soon
To go remain on the now lifeless Moon
Because of his heart warming love for that girl that lived on the Moon
