Dianna was sitting on the couch eating her chinese takeout waiting for Lea to get home. She had just gotten a phone call from Ryan telling her that he wanted to discuss where "Quinn's" storyline was going. She knew this day would come but she didn't think it would be so soon. Lea, Cory, Naya and Chris had all been told that their contracts were being renewed for another season but no word for the rest of that cast yet.
She shoveled spoonfulls of rice into her mouth, trying to eat her feelings one bite at a time. Just before she could dig herself deeper into a hole of self-pity the door opened. Lea came storming in screaming at someone on the phone.
"NO, IT'S YOU THAT DOESN'T UNDERSTAND. IF YOU SERIOUSLY THINK I'M GOING TO STAND FOR THIS THEN YOURE DELUSIONAL." Dianna was shocked, she had never seen Lea so angry before, she never yells or even raises her voice at anyone. She wondered what could possibly get her so worked up.
"I'm telling you now, you need to seriously reconsider this. If have have to pull my contract i will. You know what, forget it. I'll talk to Ryan myself and i'll straighten this out. I knew we shouldn't have hired you."
Lea hung up the phone and threw it across the room. She dropped her purse on the ground and sat down on the couch next to Dianna resting her head on the blonde's shoulders.
"Baby whats wrong, what happened" Dianna asked as she stroked her girlfriends hair.
"Matt and Ali have wrote the finchel wedding, a karofsky suicide AND a quinn car crash, all in one fucking episode."
Dianna remained silent. She felt selfish thinking about herself when Lea was clearly upset but this just confirmed her fears of tomorrows meeting with Ryan.
"Im going to talk to Ryan in the morning, there's no way this is happening. I'll put my name on the line, if they want me, then we're a package deal. The fans love us, hell they want faberry more than they do finchel" Lea was rambling but she couldn't help herself, she was fuming.
"You can't do that, if my time is up i have to accept it. You can't put your career on the line for me." Dianna was touched by how concerned her girlfriend was but she could never ask her to do something as risky as putting her career on the line, no matter how badly she wanted it.
"Baby, im not going to work everyday without you. The fans love Quinn and you're part of the original cast, there's no way they can kill you off without an uproar. This isn't even Ryan that's saying it, it's the new writers. I'm going to take care of it tomorrow, don't you worry. Ryan needs to focus on Glee again, he has too many projects that he's wrapped up in. I'll pull him back down from his cloud of delusion."
Dianna's heart swelled up like a hot air balloon. It never ceased to amaze her how self-less Lea could be. This was the reason she fell in love with her in the first place. She always puts the people she loves the most above herself. She really was perfect.
"Le, i love you" Dianna said simply and honestly. She guided Lea's face up to her own and kissed her, slowly at first before sliding her tongue between her lips. Dianna wanted to show Lea how much she really loved her….
