Nature Boy
Disclaimer: Don't own Naruto or the song 'Nature Boy'.
Might Guy had always been intriged by Rock Lee since the first time he saw him through the window of the Ninja Academy as he was running laps with the other children.
There was a boy
When he was put on his team he intriged him even more when he heard about his goal.
"I want to prove that even a person who can not use ninjutsu or genjutsu can still become a splendid ninja! It is me only goal!!"
A very strange, enchanted boy
He had always watched him challange his teammate Neji Hyuuga to matches, but always lost. And whenever he would lose he would go off on his own and train nonstop for hours.
They say he wondered very far, very far
He would do five hundred pushups and if he were to fail that he would do twelve hundred double-skips. He would basically find any method of training whether be on land or in the sea.
Over land and sea
He wasn't all that social, whenever he would approch him he would get nervous and hid his face behind the practice dummy; probably so he won't see his tears.
A little shy and sad of eye
He told him many times that he was a genius of hard work.
But very wise was he...
He had a talk with him one day, about how he use to be just like him; how he had no talent what so ever. But since now he could hold his own against his eternal rival, Kakashi Hatake, he doesn't feel like such a failure any more.
And then one day
He would help Lee reach his goal in life. They would train every day until the other could no longer stand. He would teach him new tricks and new courses of action, he would even spar with him a couple of time.
A magic day
When Lee was older he took a sudden interest in a young girl, a rookie who was competing in this years Chunnin Exames. He was in hiding at the time so he though he would 'check up' on things. When he saw the way the girl cruelly turned him down his heart broke for him.
He passed my way
After the whole ordeal he watched as his student desperatlly tried to gain the girls attention again and again, and repeatedly failed. One day he decided to have a talk with Lee.
And while we spoke of many things
"Lee, why do you keep trying to push yourself on that girl? If she turns you down then she's obviously not good enough for you. Why go through the heart ach?"
Fools and kings
"Because Guy-sensei..."
This he said to me...
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return."
All he could do was smile at his student, he had learned well.
A/N: I hope you like my new Naruto fic, I got the idea while listening to the Moulin Rouge soundtrack I checked out from the library and 'Nature Boy' almost sounded like Guy and Lee.
