Author's Note: Written for a Drabble Challenge over on InsaneJournal. Had to be exactly 100 words, and the prompt was "Inappropriate Age Gap".

Jack was old. Ianto knew that. It wasn't exactly a secret anymore. How old, precisely, he wasn't even sure Jack knew. Really damn old, at any rate. Not that that meant anything. The specifics of Jack never seemed to mean anything, if 'anything' meant reevaluating their relationship.

Despite everything he'd been through, Ianto was a child. Well, not exactly (even Jack had his limits), but he was so very… young. Twenty-six.

He did try to hide it. Experience had taught him grief, pain and love, but he still seemed to Jack like a boy trying to wear his father's shoes.
