The Darkness Returns

Chapter 1: So It Begins.
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Characters or Most of the Cards. They belong to Konomi. But every now and then, I will make up a new card, but I will tell you before I will put it up.
"Go Elemental Hero Neos, attack his life points directly." Jaden said as Neos reduces Chazz's Life Points to 0. "And that's game. Thanks for the sweet duel, Chazz." He said a little of boastfully.
"Yeah, Yeah. You're just lucky that you drew Neos. But our next match will turn out different." Chazz said as he picked himself off of the ground and dusts himself off.
"And the winner is Jaden Yuki." The announcer said as the crowds cheered.
As he exits the stage, he was greeted by his friends: Syrus, Sabasten, and Chumley. They were all waiting for him near the entrance.
"Did you hear the good news, Jay?" Syrus asked. He was jumping up and down with excitement.
"About me winning? I really kicked Chazz's tail in the tournament." Jaden said as he was laughing.
"No. You only have one more duel to go. And if you win this duel, you will duel the actual King of Games."
"No way! I would actually get to duel against Yugi, himself?!"
"That is if you win the next duel."
"I am so there. Now who am I going to duel next?"
The trio didn't speak. They all looked at the ground and wondered if they should tell him.
Jaden noticed the long silence and the nervous look on their faces.
"It is Zane." Syrus broke the silence.
"No way! I get to duel against the best duelist on campus? This is great! I get to beat the top 2 best duelist in the World." Jadan shouted with joy.
"Now hold on, Jaden. Remember, you have to get pass Zane before you take on Yugi. And right there will be difficult for you. But if you do get lucky by beating Zane, you still have to get through Yugi; and that is almost impossible." Sabasten explained.
"Did you see me beat his deck that was stolen?" Jaden asked.
"Yes, but I also recall that Zane perfectly said it himself, "You must put yourself out there. There is no amount of studying to do the moves better than they can." You may have beaten Dimitri, but Yugi is a whole another story."
"I guess you're right. But who knows what will happen?" Jaden laughed.
Meanwhile in the Shadow Realm
"Soon, I will have the revenge on the one that sent me to the shadows." Came a voice in the midst of the darkness. "If I cannot get Atem, then I will get that little runt that used to hold Atem's Spirit."
"You're not the only one that desires vengeance on him. I too want a shot at him for trapping me in the shadows." Came another voice.
"So do I." Came another voice.
"Prepare yourself, Yugi, for the Ultimate Shadow Game is about to begin." Came the original voice.

Chazz: How corny was that? I cannot lose that easily! At least tell them how well I dueled.
Me: Uh... It doesn't tie in with the plot. I only choose to do the end of the duel, just to see who won the duel to advance to the next round.
Chazz: The next time, I will win.
Me: Isn't that what you said, this time, and last time, and the time before that?
Chazz Pouts
Zane: You know for a fact, I will not lose to a Slifer Red.
Jaden: Bring it on, Blue Boy.
Me: Knock it off, you two. We'll find out on the next chapter, called "Zane Vs Jaden: Machine Against Heros."
