Goku and the Peanut Butter and Jelly
by Lizard
He looked at the note again. From what little he could read, it seemed that Chi-Chi had gone somewhere. He didn't know where, and he really didn't care all that much. She wasn't in the house, so she must be somewhere else. That was the only resonable explanation for her sudden absence. His stomach growled suddenly, a large echoing sound.
"Oh, I'm soooo hungry!! Why did Chi-Chi have to leave while I was hungry. It's not fair!!!" Goku began to wail.
He walked into the empty kitchen, hoping to find something Chi-Chi might have left behind. The room was spotless.
Not even a crumb, Goku thought glumly.
"Wait!" he yelled suddenly, "I'll just make myself something to eat. I've seen Chi-Chi do it hundreds of times. It can't be that hard..." He smiled to himself, unexpectedly amazed by his sudden moment of "genius". He began to open cabinets, pulling things out one after the other. Suddenly, what he had been searching for popped into view. Possibly one of the best foods Goku had ever consumed, Kami's gift to the world-
"PEANUT BUTTER!!" he screamed excitedly.
"Wait," Goku said, his voice dropping, "there's something I'm forgetting..."
He continued to think, but as he did he opened the refridgerator, pulling several containers out.
"That's it!! JELLY!!!" he yelled into the fridge, pulling out a huge jar filled with the purple gelatin-like food. He quickly grabbed the bread and a butter knife and carried both huge jars and all the extras to the table.
He began to messily slop the jelly onto about ten pieces of bread. Next, he pulled out the jar of peanut butter and spread huge amounts onto another ten pieces. He flipped each piece of bread onto its counterpart, squishing the sandwiches together.
He picked one up, carefully inspecting it.
Looks fine, he thought happily.
The sandwich made its was towards his mouth when-
Wait, something's wrong, he stared at the mess in his hands.
"That's it! The peanut butter's on the top. It's supposed to be on the bottom!!"
He decided to make more sandwiches, hoping these would turn out correctly. But with every sandwich it was the same: peanut butter on top, jelly on bottom.
Before Goku knew it, he had made more than fifty sandwiches, each stacked sloppily upon the next all over the kitchen.
"Goku, I'm home!!"
Oh-no, Chi-Chi! Goku thought, suddenly panicked as he looked about the kitchen.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY KITCHEN!!!" Chi-Chi screamed as she walked into the room. Peanut butter and jelly were splashed everywhere; on the counters, on the floor, even on the ceiling. Her eyes fell on the piles of sandwiches.
"Why did you do this, Goku?" she growled.
"Well, honey, I was just so hungry an' I decided to make some food an' none of the sandwiches turned out right an'-
"What do you mean 'they didn't turn out right'?" she yelled.
"Well, uh, the peanut butter was on the top and it was supposed to be on the bottom," he whimpered.
Goku flinched as Chi-Chi grabbed the nearest mound of a sandwich.
"Look," she commanded, turning the sandwich over.
"Now it's on the bottom!" Goku yelled, genuinely surprised, "Wow, Chi-Chi, how did you do that?!"
Chi-Chi sighed and left the kitchen, heading out the door. She could hear Goku munching happily in the kitchen behind her. She got in her newly parked car and began to head back to the grocery store.
She was going to need more cleaning supplies.
