And then something very odd happened. Sheena straightened, forcefully drawing her shoulders back, and looked him defiantly in the eye. "Fine."

There was a prolonged pause. Sheena glanced at him fiercely, "Well?"

"-Uh." Zelos blinked, "Nothing! Just. I didn't think you'd actually-"

Her earlier determination abruptly crumbled. Sheena looked mortified, "Forget it."

"No!" Zelos yelped, leaping out of his chair and grabbing her wrist before she could fully flee, "I-I just hadn't thought that far ahead! Hang on," he thought desperately for something, anything, that would convince her to stay put. Sheena looked about as uncomfortable as he felt. In desperation, Zelos retreated to his mental nirvana.

"...Exactly how long were you planning on staring at my chest for?"

"About another thirty seconds?" Zelos hoped. Sheena reddened, her hands balled, and she...looked painfully to the side, biting her lip and actually trembling with fury.

The seconds passed. Zelos remained unenlightened. "That usually works," he whined, and looked reluctantly back up towards her face. Her expression of utter rage sparked something within him, and he brightened.

"Maybe if you hit me!"

Sheena complied with boundless enthusiasm. Now suddenly on the floor, Zelos blinked rapidly up at her, tongue probing at a loose molar. "Ow," he accused. Sheena crossed her arms, eyes narrowed to slits.

"You know what, Zelos? Just-forget it! I ask you for one thing which-which you're supposed to be good at, and you-" she was so angry she was crying a bit, making her dark eyes look glittery, and hurt, and he felt very, very small. She drew a ragged breath, and wiped hastily at her eyes. "Sorry. I just. I thought maybe you wouldn't make fun of me."

"I wasn't making fun of you!" Zelos squawked, now shooting upright and taking long strides towards her, ignoring her half-hearted retreat, "I was just-you know, accosted."

"'Accosted?'" Sheena looked as though she were preparing to stab him, "'Accosted'? You were the one who suggested it!" She pointed violently, and even stamped her foot. Zelos was overcome with fondness. And mortal terror.

"But hunny," here, a comforting rub of the shoulder, "I've been suggesting since I was fifteen!"

He was smart enough to snatch his hand back in time. Sheena ground her teeth, ran hooked fingers back through her bangs, and stiffened her knees. "I-okay. No. Look. You are never going to talk about this. Ever. EVER. A-And that will be it. We'll just pretend this never happened, okay? Okay."

"But I want to!" Zelos wailed, attempting to romantically sweep her towards him-an attempt that ultimately failed as Sheena clung doggedly to the sofa. So Zelos came to her. Because he was nothing if not flexible!

"You clearly don't!" Sheena shouted, sounding slightly strangled. But Zelos was hugging her very tightly.

"My sweet, voluptuous hunny-"

"I will destroy you."

"-Nothing could be further from the truth! Come on. Do you really think I'd say no to a pretty girl like you? I, the magnificent Zelos Wilder, conqueror of fair maiden's hearts and-by the way, you aren't drunk or anything, right?"

"Do you want to sleep with me or not?" Sheena snarled into his shoulder, blushing so hard that he could feel it through his shirt.

"Yes," Zelos told her cleavage, "I really, really do."
