Fallen Angel

Lost hero
tears running silently down your face.
Emotionless face
innocence, torn from you long ago.
Forgotten child
blood staining you as it flows over your body.
Ivory skin
marred by scars and an eerie beauty.
Dead eyes
their bright sparkle is long gone.
Standing alone
in a battlefield strewn with the many corpses.
Sword in hand
as you lean on it so that you don't fall.
Dark silence
closed around you in an evil humor.
Sleep calls
trying to lull you into forever night.
The world cheers
yet you just want to curl up hidden away, and cry for all lost.
You've won
but you feel as though you've lost.
Fallen angel
the world on your shoulders
childhood lost.
