Hello. My name's Moomoogirl1. This is my first Chobits fic. I hope you like it.
I do not own Chobits. It belongs to the creative minds of Clamp.
Chi is innocent. Chi talks in third person. Chi is kind. She is very optimistic. She isn't very bright but she tries her best. She's curious; she likes to learn new things. She also copies things she sees and is very loyal.
But most important, Chi loves Hideki, and Hideki loves Chi.
But before Chi was Chi, there was Elda.

"Elda! Sweetie? It's time for our walk!"
Elda carefully tied the last ribbon on her shoes. As she sighed with satisfaction, she gently patted her dress.
"Ready!" she yelled. Elda then ran down the hall only to bump heads with her sister.
"Elda!"
"Freya!"
The two giggled. Freya rubbed Elda's head where they had bumped into each other.
"Elda are you excited?" she asked. Elda nodded her head. " I am! I get to walk with you, mommy, and daddy." Freya smiled.
"Yes. You, me, mommy, and…daddy…" Freya said Daddy's name differently. For a moment Freya looked exhausted, pained, and sad all at the same time.
"Freya?" asked Elda getting worried as she was programmed to. Freya saw that she was worrying her sister and put on a smile.
"Come on. They're waiting." She said, taking Elda's hand into her own.
"Look at the pretty bird mommy!" The young woman, with long hair and glasses, looked to see where Elda was pointing.
"Why it is a pretty bird." Breathed Chitose, as her husband took her hand.
"Not as pretty as you…" he mumbled as she laughed. Elda saw Freya frown. She looked at her parents in front of her and then back at her sister who was beside her.
"Daddy…is silly!" yelled Elda trying to make her sister laugh. Their father happened to hear this. "Hey you!" He tickled his two daughters.
They all laughed. Elda noticed her sister eye's, sparkling in the sunlight. However the tickling stopped, the laughing ceased and Chitose took her husbands hand again.
Elda did the same and took Freya's hand. She squeezed it for reassurance.
"Smile Freya." She said in a soft voice so that their parents could not hear. "Everything's fine. Things…will get better!" She thought this would make Freya smile.
Only Freya didn't smile this time. Not a real one. This one looked pained. She looked desperate.
"Nothing will get better." She horribly whispered.
The two were quiet for the rest of the day.
Elda was full of laughter. She was some one you could trust and lean your head on her shoulder. She remained true. She never spoke in third person. She was caring and could always make you smile. She would also worry…
But most important, she loved her family but they knew a different kind of love.
Chi is Chi but Elda was also Elda.

I do hope you like this. I just wanted to do a little insight on this Elda and her tragic family. If you're wondering, this before Chitose learned why Freya was sad. It's a rather hard, complex story no? Anyways thanks for reading.
Moomoogirl1 out.
