If you love her, let her go

Hey guys, this one has been bugging me for a long time. I eventually got up to write it at around 2 in the morning because it was just screaming to get out. This could mean that it's really good, or really bad. So let me know! PLEASE read and review!

She was so beautiful sitting there in the library. A quill was tucked behind her ear and her brow was furrowed in concentration. The bright sun was shining into the dusty library lighting the millions of dust particles in the air. The sun kissed her fiery red hair and her startling green eyes were immersed in a book. She was absolutely beautiful.

I had the feeling that I was intruding, and yet I couldn't turn away. She looked up and her eyes lit in recognition.

"Remus!" Lily called in a loud whisper, "Come over here." She said while gesturing to the seat beside her. And like a love struck puppy I obliged.

As I sat down I swung my bag off my shoulder and pulled out a book, pretending to read though my eyes never moved across the page.

She was so beautiful, so smart, so loving, so caring, so funny, and was never quick to judge people. Except for James.

James.

James Potter. My best mate. He loved Lily with all of his heart and somehow she loved him back, proven by the engagement ring on her beautiful finger. He had proposed to her at the last Quiddich match in front of everyone in the stands and she said yes.

I never told anyone about my love for Lily. I didn't want to mess up the chance James and her had. They loved each other dearly and it was easily seen by anyone around.

Only Sirius had a feeling of my affections, but for once in his life he never spoke of it to anyone, even me.

And I knew Lily loved me, but only as a friend. And so I watched their relationship flourish, I watched a wedding, and saw the arrival of a Harry James Potter.

I guess that saying, if you love her, let her go, is true. I just wish that I told her how I felt before that fated Halloween night. Though somehow, I think she already knew.

End.

Well, love it? Hate it? Please review, it would mean so much to me, even if it is only a one shot. ;)

Yours truly,

Krazi Kelli
