Premise: After Into Darkness Spock and Uhura broke up. Slowly during the 5 year mission a relationship developed between Kirk and Spock.
And this is their wedding day and they have written their own vows. Inspired by Brennan/Booth wedding scene of series Bones.
Kirk:
"I had it all written down. Had this whole speech figured out. But now it doesn't feel right. Or in any way adequate.
Today I am the happiest I can ever remember being. Because today I am marrying you. The man I love. The man I fought for and with. The man I chased and finally persuaded to chase me.
When I look at you I am at peace. When I feel your touch I feel truly alive. When I hear you speak to me I feel it like a caress. When I scent you, you feel like mine. And when I taste you I feel sated and hungry at the same time.
Spock you are the most beautiful soul I have ever encountered and I am honored to be here with you to declare I am yours and you are mine.
I...love...you...Spock." Kirk says choking and stuttering the last words.
Spock takes a deep breath. And slips out a piece of paper of his pocket and explains.
When you where in a coma due to your fortunately temporary death it was unclear for a while if you would survive. During this time I waited for you to wake. I waited at your side and I wrote to following.
He looks down and reads:
"Dear Captain James Tiberius Kirk
You are a confusing man.
You are irrational and impulsive, superstitious and exasperating.
You believe in your gut-feeling and in always a way to win-scenarios, and maybe even luck.
But because of you, I have started to see the universe differently.
How is it possible that simply looking at your face gives me so much joy.
Why does it make me so happy that everytime I try to surruptitiously look at you, you are already looking at me.
Like you, it makes no sense.
And like you, it feels right.
If you ever get out of that coma I will find a time and a place to tell you that you make my life chaotic, confusing, unfocused and irrational and yet wonderful."
Spock looks up then and looks Jim Kirk in the eyes and softly says
"This is that time, this is that place. You, are my Thy'la."
Jim Kirk is crying now but with a wide happy smile on his face.
They lean forward and exchange the customary kiss. Accompanied by tumultous applause of their friends and crew.
