Please excuse me if the characters seem horribly OOC or whatsoever. This is my first DGM fic and though that really shouldn't be an excuse, it is. Ha.
Thank you very much, Tuli-Susi, for taking time out of her busy schedule to beta this for me. :D
For Him, a Princess Sleeps
Disclaimer: I do not own D.Gray-Man.
Lavi likes to watch people sleep. Others might call it creepy, but he calls it "observing history sleeping".
Once, when he had stayed with Kanda during a mission, he had stopped to watch the other boy sleep, and felt a sudden urge to just start combing through the long hair and start braiding it. Or even start doodling on the long-haired boy's face. However, he didn't really feel like risking his life.
When he first sees Allen Walker, the young exorcist is sleeping. He wonders what it would be like to run his fingers through Walker's snow-white hair.
Would it be soft and smooth like real hair? Or coarse and sticky like a wig? It seems like one.
He watches the blankets on top of Walker moving up and down, his body breathing to sustain life…
He wonders, as he watches Walker breathe, what would it be like to run his hand down that scar? From the pentacle, downward… rip the bandage off… further down and towards his chin… Would it be tingly? Would it cause Walker to flinch? Would such an action cause him to shiver?
He discovers that he wants to feel those long lashes flutter open against his lips. Gently, softly, sweetly…
Is Walker sweet? His scent? His taste? His personality?
He wants to see Walker's eyes; are they blue? Green? Hazel? Even plain brown would be beautiful on such a face.
He wants to bend down, over Walker, lean in, and kiss him… Like a prince waking his princess…
Lavi wants a lot of things, but he cannot have them, because he is a Bookman.
