"Sam."
Dean rests his hand lightly on Sam's back before sliding it carefully around his brother's shoulders.
He gives his unconscious brother a firm shake and feels his heart sink when Sam's head lists heavily to the side.
"Sam."
His voice is more insistent now.
Sam's head hangs down so far that his chin's touching his chest.
"Sammy, wake the hell up."
Dean's voice is low and gruff, an urgent whisper.
"H-huh?" Sam finally answers, wincing as he lifts a hand to his forehead.
"Finally," Dean murmurs hoarsely as he pulls Sam into an awkward one-armed hug.
