Rachel cringed when the scent of smoke sippered in from her balcony.

She tried not to sigh loudly, only settling with closing her eyes and turn around in bed so she could look out the balcony.

Due to the darkness, she couldn't see who was standing there, but she knew who it was.

Movement out there made it possible to see a silhouette.

Forcing another sigh down the throat, she slowly and quietly sat up and walked on barefeet out to the balcony, leaning against the doorway.

"You know, smoking isn't good for your lungs" She whispered

"Don't tell me what to do" Jason retorted, not even looking back.

Rachel bit her lip, trying to think of something to say that wouldn't upset Jason and make him leave for a long time.

"I…don't like the smell…. I can't sleep" She finally said.

Several silent seconds went by, making Rachel feel stupid.

"Fine" He finally said and flicked away the cigarette. Rachel breathed out in relief, noticing that she had held that breath for some time.

They both once again fell in silence. And when Jason didn't move, she turned around, walking silently back to her bed. With one glance behind her, she crawled into bed.

Her heart was beating fast, because she thought he was gonna leave, but as she closed her eyes she felt a pair of arms encircle her waist and lips touched her neck. And she smelled a faint trace of smoke, she wouldn't admit it, but in these moments she actually like the smell. Because it's entirely Jason.

"I just worry for you" She whispered, cuddling closer to Jason.

"I don't die easily" Jason answered. The former Robin chuckled, before falling asleep.
