The Mistake

Walking into the church was one of the hardest thing do do. Seeing her walk down the aisle looking so beautiful was the hardest thing he ever had to watch. Hearing her say " I do." was the most heartbreaking thing hehes ever had to hear.

He who is he kidding he's been a mess for weeks. Ever since he got that invitation in the mail.

His whole world fell apart. Emotions ran through him: anger and sadness being the main.

Anger because she coukdnt even tell him herself that she was getting married but that he had to find out through the mail. After everything that they've been through together. All those near death experiences. she couldnt spare ten seconds of her time to pull him aside and tell him she was getting married and beomg taken from him forever.

Sadness because they were supposed to be Always.

But today as he sits amongst the crowd watching them dance their first dance as husband and wife. He can't help but imgaine himself as the one holdong her and whispering sweet nothings in her ear.

But as he watches her closer he notices something off about her. The way she winces and shudders as Josh holds hertell him its not one of want and desire but kne of hurt and pain. Then they make eye contact and like many times before no words were needed for him to know she needed him and was in trouble.

Josh seeing Castle whispers something in Kate's ear walks toward him with a cocky smirk.

"Castle, Man I'm so glad you could make it."

"Uh, Yea."

"Actually, there is something that Kate wanted you to know."

"Which is?"

"Well you see ... how csn i put this lightly?.. Now that Kate and I are married. She no longer wants to be affiliated with you and your "research" as you like to call it... oh and that your 'All Access Pass' with the 12th has expired."

"So if she wanted to tell me this, why couldn't she tell me herself?"

"Because she doesnt want to cause a scene and i knkw you dont want that either, so i think it would be best if you left and no return the 12th per Kate's wishes." "If you care about her Castle, you'll do this for her."

And so, not wanting to be the main event of the party. Castle left without a glance toward her direction, lest she see the look on his face.
