Admiration
One-shot, once again. Because I can.
I got bored. This came into my mind when I went grocery shopping with my dad, blah blah blah, I'll just get on with the story.
Rated T cuz I'm paranoid.
Disclaimer: Soul Eater does not belong to me, never has and never will.
He had always admired her.
Her strength was something he admired. Unlike most girls, she was fully capable of carrying the grocery bags without his help. Maybe it was genetic or something, maybe it came from years of training to become a meister like her mother.
He admired that she didn't care what other people thought of her. She wore what she wanted, did what she wanted, and acted the way she wanted. He couldn't do that, he always thought of what people would think of him; hence his 'cool' clothing and personality.
She was stubborn. But sometimes, it was good to be stubborn. He wishes he was stubborn, but he always breaks down when it comes to her.
She was out-going, even if she didn't really look like it. Whereas, he hated parties and was a little anti-social at moments.
She was intelligent. He was intelligent too, being from a musical family, but decided against showing it. She, however, embraced it. Made it like it was her pride and joy.
The girl was funny. Not the snarky and sarcastic funny like he was. No, she was truly funny. Her humor came from her intelligence. She could come up with a comeback that humiliated the victim in a snap. He should know.
Even if she was a bookworm, she was athletic. He was lazy. They were definitely opposites.
The courage she had. It was unlike anything he'd ever seen. She defeated the kishin Asura with it, and she had won his heart with it.
"Maka."
"Hm?"
"I love you."
But she admired him more. That day he said those words, she realized she had always admired him.
From day one, she admired his looks. Most of all, his talent.
As they grew closer, she started to admire practically everything about him.
How long he could sleep, how he was a deep sleeper, how he would give his life just to protect her, everything.
At first it scared her, but she started to accept it as the years past.
And so following her admiration, she smiled at his confession.
"I love you too Soul. I love you too."
With love comes admiration.
So, I just tossed in adjectives that described Maka and how he was the opposite of that.
I like the ending. At first I was gonna put "With love comes hate and with hate comes admiration" but that didn't make any sense. So I made it short and simple.
Yeah, I didn't know what I was writing until I came to the end.
What will I write next?
Like I have a clue.
Anyways, I gotta run.
Please review!
Okay, until next time!
