Written at 12:30 in the morning when I couldn't sleep and decided to waste my life instead of getting some rest. I apologize for any errors.

It's Morro/Lloyd if you couldn't tell.

Enjoy, my batshit insane friends!

Morro stirred, feeling covers piled around him. He looked up to see an outline of the green ninja staring out the window at the moon.

Green eyes blinked again. "Lloyd, why are you not asleep?"

The blond didn't answer, moon illuminating his face and the Destiny's Bounty above the water. He seemed almost sad, blinking slowly as if to hold back tears.

Morro sat up, feeling his tired muscles protest against the effort and wrapped one arm around Lloyd's shoulders.

The blond turned, his body language suggesting trust towards the ex-ghost. They had grown closer after Morro had been revived on Day of The Departed.

Morro had asked Lloyd if there was any way to have the green ninja trust him again. Slowly, their friendship grew until they were almost inseparable.

Maybe, just maybe, it could become something more.

They both secretly hoped for it, but right now being content with close friends.

Something in Lloyd's demeanor suggested he was in pain, whether it be memories or injuries was unknown. He looked vulnerable, preferring to forgo pajamas for a long robe that drifted down to his ankles.

Morro leaned his head on the boy's shoulder. "Can you just tell me what's wrong?"

Lloyd gripped Morro's hand, eyes shut tightly. Morro could tell it was memories of being lost in the Cursed Realm, of watching his father be destroyed with the realm of the damned.

"Hey, Morro?" Lloyd whispered, his voice hoarse. "Can you sing that one song we used to like..?"

Morro nodded, keeping his hand around Lloyd's.

He took a deep breath and began to sing.

"My head is haunting me and my heart feels like a ghost, I need to feel something 'cause I'm still so far from home."

Lloyd joined in, his voice cracking slightly. "Cross your heart and hope to die, promise me you'll never leave my side."

They continued to sing, Morro stopping when he saw tears falling silently from Lloyd's eyes.

He opened his mouth to say something, but was stopped by Lloyd's simple request.

"Hold me, please."

And so he did, the two relaxing in each other's embrace for a while.

Silence. The shift of the robe-clothed boy.

"Um.. Morro? I.. I want to thank you for everything you've done for me…"

Morro smiled slightly. "You don't need to. You were worth all of the time, all of the effort. You're the hope of this city, the inspiration for your teammates."

"That's why it's so hard to keep going while struggling… finding it hard to get up every day, forcing yourself to smile and do well… it's hard!"

Morro held the blond, stroking his hair. "I know, Lloyd. I know."

"That's what they all say.."

"You're forgetting I killed myself two times."

There was a quiet laugh from Lloyd that sounded almost like a sob. "We're fucked up, aren't we?"

"Very."

Morro paused to look up at Lloyd from the rather awkward hug. "But that's why we keep going, right?"

"I guess so…"

They stayed like that for a while longer. Morro noticed Lloyd seemed more fidgety.

The green ninja finally looked back up, was he- blushing?

"U–um.. Morro?"

"Hmm?" The raven-haired boy hummed.

"C-can I.. um.."

"Yeesss?"

Lloyd clenched his fist. "Goddamn it— I just.. can I kiss you?"

Morro paused for a second. Did Lloyd seriously just ask him that?

He found himself nodding.

Then Lloyd leaned forward, tilting his head to the side, his eyes closing slowly.

Their lips met and good lord– It was soft and sweet, innocent and absolutely wonderful.

Lloyd's innocence truly shone through, in his soft actions, his awkwardness.

Morro loved it.

They broke apart, Lloyd flushed from even just a simple kiss like that.

Slowly, they both smiled, Morro gripping Lloyd's hand.

"So, I take it you like me, then."

"I don't know why I would have kissed you if I didn't.."

Morro shook his head at how innocent the blond was. "How does this change things among us?"

"We'll figure that out later." Sighed Lloyd, laying down and looking absolutely spent.

Morro lay beside him, wrapping his arms around the blond as they drifted off into sleep.

Good lord, I fell for someone that innocent?

Ahh, 12:30 at night. The only time I can write something of decent length with enough fluff.

Excuse me while I pass out now. Zzzzzzzzzzz...
