Politics and evil
Are one in the same
Satan hides behind a different name
He stirred inside his four-walled prison. The alchemical symbols that glowed red, that marked his prison, had faded, his skull dislodged from were it had been set into the wall. Violet eyes, pupils like a cat's, snapped open. Inside, he felt a deep, burning passion, like a sickness, and it demanded an answer. He seemed to remember this feeling from long ago… How long? He did not know.
Take these chains away
Free my hands from bondage
Can't explain my way
Avarice will kill you in time
His hands and feet were bound together with little leather straps. They could be easily dealt with, and were as bulky muscle flexed and he jerked his arms and legs apart. His fingers flexed as hundreds of years without use suddenly came to an abrupt halt. It had been so very long…
Violent upheaval
Cities drenched in flame
Wickedness we know we cannot tame
A shark-toothed grin spread wide across his squarely-angled jaw. He remembered the look on that bitch's face when he had first been created, after she'd fed him the Philosopher's Stones for weeks on end to get this final result. She'd said she loved him, and he her, but when he refused to accept, she tried to make him her slave. He had ended it quickly. Violently. There had been no other way. Greed would bend for no human.
Take these chains away
Free my hands from bondage
Can't explain my way
Avarice will kill you in time
The grin widened, cocky and smug; he knew what a perfect being he was. Flawless. He didn't know how he knew, he just did. It was simple as that. She wasn't and never would be good enough for someone like him. He grinned at the fallen skull on the ground beside him. All on its own with no alchemy to support his imprisonment, it no longer held its sway. He was a free man.
The way we murder now
See what we are becoming
An onyx veil that filters out the light
I'll savor this anger
My hate makes me stronger
But then, the smile faded. She'd wept and sent her little 'pet' after him, that green-haired scrawny excuse for a homunculus, who had dragged him back kicking and screaming. She threatened him, and using this very skull, she had taken his shield away from him… He growled softly, and lifted a hand to be sure he had gotten it back after the alchemy she had used. To his pleasure, black, diamond-hard skin spread from the tips of his fingers, sharpening his nails to vicious points. He was going to make hell for that bitch. He'd show her who 'owned' who.
Free my hands from bondage
Take these chains away
Coming from destruction
Avarice will kill you in time
He hopped to his feet, boots making a solid thump on the hard concrete, and he snuggled the white fur of his vest closer to his neck, stepping over the ruined wall to his right. Finally, he was out, and someone was going to pay for locking him up like this.
Kill you in time
