Takes place when Christine is six years old. An idea that's been in my head since her premiere episode.

There was always one way to know when Christine was with her mother.
The nickname. "Bones c'mon she's only six she doesn't need to be here!" Booth tried to reason with the girl's mother.
Said girl only was interested in the bones on the autopsy table. "Stapes!" Her father said in a warning tone.
That was the thing that alerted the co-worker's of the girl's parents, of her presence. The smallest bone in the human body.
It was a nickname that was a joke when she was born apparently and as of late it was a bit of a tagline.
Bones and her Mini-Me. Bones and Stapes.
"But Daaaaad! I wanna help too!"
"Christine come on..." Her mother took her from the room fully intending on nipping the girl's calling card in the bud eventually.
"Hey mommy...How come everyone call's me that?" She asked her mother over dinner that night.
Temperence raised an eyebrow. "Call you what?"
"Stapes."
"Oh...That...Well it was after you were born when we brought you home...Everyone, Angela, Hodgins, Kim...Everyone was there with a banner..." She started to explain remembering it fondly.
"What'd it say?"
"It said: "Welcome home Stapes." Stapes is the smallest bone in the human body...And your father calls me Bones so because no one knew your name yet..It stuck." Her mother finished explaining.
"Oh...Cool!" The girl grinned.
As it was...The nickname stuck.
The girl whilst she was known as Christine ever since she was a baby she answered more often then not to...
"STAPES! AWAY FROM THE AUTOPSY TABLE!"
"Aww but Daddy...!"
