Nicholas, Scatty, Sophie and Josh unboarded the plane from London. It had been a close call but they had managed to escape Dee and the Morrigan again in the very heart of the most dangerous city in the world."What are we going to do now?" Josh asked Flamel" We're now on the other side of the planet from the United states!"

" Well technically Josh Japan is closer to San Fransisco." Sophie said.

"That still doesn't change the fact that we have no where to go and no one to help us."

"First, we're going to find somewhere to stay," Nicholas said, " then we have to find an ally. I don't know anyone in this country. Out of all the continents I spent the least time here."

"Some Elders still live here," Scatty said," Durga and Parvati, Shiva and some Next Generation as well."

They walked to the entrance of the Tokyo Narita International Airport. The front was lined with taxi cabs waiting for new arrivals. Scatach motioned to a taxi driver. They began speaking rapid-fire Japanese.

" I asked him to take us to a hotel."

They all piled into the car. The drive from the airport to the city hadn't been long. The twins were gazing out the windows looking for famous landmarks. Nicholas and Scatty were having a conversation.

"Is there anyone here that we can trust?" Nicholas asked in archaic french.

"I'm not sure," Scatty replied in the same language, "It's been so long since I've been here"

The taxi driver turned to Scathach and told her something in japanese.

"He says he's going to take us to the Palace Hotel."

They arrived at the Palace Hotel in ten minutes. Nicholas payed with his credit card. They started to walk to the front entrance when Scathach suddenly stopped.

"Oh no," she groaned," why does it have to be him?"

"Who..." Sophie started to ask but then she saw him.

He started walking towards them. His black shiny hair and mercury eyes caught the light. His expensive designer coat lay open and carefree. Alot, of people had stopped to look ate him, some had even dared to take his picture. " Who's that?" Sophie asked.

"Just another relative." Scathach replied. She walked toward him, a look of annoyance on her face.

"Well, well look who it is my least favorite of all my family and that's saying something."Scatty said to him.

"The feelings are mutual. Believe me i wouldn't be here if Gran hadn't asked me to come."

Scatty groaned " Why did she do that?!"

"Well she told me that she saw you getting kidnapped by Dagon so she ordered me to come protect Flamel and the children till you got back."

"Well I'm back so you can leave now. And how can you even stand to be here? There is so much iron around that you should be unconcious."

Before he had the time to reply Nicholas inturrupted "Excuse me Scatty but who is this."

"This is my cousin Atticus or well that's one of his names. He's an Elder."

Nicholas's eyes widdened in surprise

"An Elder? But there is so much iron here. How can you bear it?"

"Like I was going to explain to Scathach, this body isn't real it's an artificial body. I can use it to travel to places while I actually stay in my Shadowrealm."

"Well that's fascinating but we don't need your help so you can leave." Scatty retorted

"Oh, you'll need my help. Bastet, The Morrigan and Dee are still looking for you and they have enlisted one of the most dangerous Next Generation: Kali"
