This is based off of the live action film, which I finally saw and loved. I've read most of the series and it is one of the cutest mangas I've ever read. I love it so much.

I've Always Dreamed of Reaching You

"It's like a dream. I've finally reached you." When Kazehaya-kun said those words to her, Sawako knew that what she'd said, how she felt, was the truth. That he was that special someone she'd been looking for, had wanted since she'd first seen him. He'd realized, even though no one else had at time, that she was more than someone who lived to scare people. That she was nothing like that, that she lived more for others than for herself.

She hadn't known what she was missing, which was why she was so happy when she'd first been noticed, first been asked to hang out with friends. She hadn't realized how alone she truly was until she was surrounded by three people who really wanted to be with her, Kazehaya seemingly the most.

Loneliness was all she had known, but not anymore. She never wanted to feel that way again. She had him, and she had friends who really cared about her. And no, nearly no one turned and ran away, yelled, "I'm sorry!" In fear as she handed them something.

"I like you." It took so much effort for her to say, to put so much faith in the words, when they might tear her apart from him for forever, and cause her to have to go back to that lonely place. But it was something she needed to say, and something he needed to hear. So she put faith into the fact that he may indeed care for her, and after all that time of liking him from a distance, but never being upfront about it, she told him how she felt.

"Me too." Is what he'd said, causing her heart to swell with warmth and love, because he really cared. From the very start, he was never afraid of her.

Yes, his words were true, he'd reached her. But she, also, had reached him. She had to have held out a hand for him to reach for. And when she finally had, he'd took it with a kind of gracious love everyone wanted out of life, but only few received.

Their feelings, had finally reached one another.
