"I want pie," Lorelai informed her daughter as they walked down to Luke's on a sunny Stars Hollow morning.

"That doesn't surprise me," Rory replied. She was visiting from Yale and they were going to Luke's for none other than coffee.

"No. But I really want pie," Lorelai told Rory, looking over at her.

"Okay….so have some pie when we get to Luke's," Rory said simply.

"I will," Lorelai smiled. She looked from for a couple moments before she looked back at Rory, "Do you think Luke bakes people into pies?"

"Oh no. You went and saw Sweeney Todd, didn't you?" Rory asked with a small smile.

"Maybe," Lorelai grinned in return. "You know, I think Johnny Depp is the only one that can make baking people into pies sexy," she added.

"Gross," Rory said as they entered Luke's diner and took their places at the counter, "But true."

"Coffee?" Luke spoke right after they sat down, pulling the coffee pot off the brewer.

"Yes please," Rory replied.

"And pie," Lorelai said holding out the cup he had just handed her.

"Pie? It's 9 o'clock in the morning," Luke replied, though he wasn't surprised by this craving from one Lorelai Gilmore.

"So?" Lorelai asked as he poured her and Rory's coffees.

Luke sighed, "What kind?" he asked, setting the pot down and facing her again.

"Priest," Lorelai said in a fake British accent, not losing her smile.

"What?" Luke asked, not sure if he had heard her right.

"Pumpkin," Lorelai said as if it were obvious.

"Coming right up," Luke said going to the fridge in which held the pies.

Lorelai giggled.

"You're sadistic, you know that?" Rory told her mom, but she was sure her mother was well aware.
