Orphans Dipper and Mabel Pines are alone after their parents died of mysterious causes. Then, one day, they learn of a relative by the name of Stanford Pines. They make the long journey to the sleepy town of Gravity Falls, Oregon to meet him.
Meet Stanley Pines, Alias Stanford Pines. He lost his brother Stanford after an incident with a portal which was activated by a possessed Stanley. Possessed by Bill Cipher, Stanley banished Stanford to be stuck between dimensions. Bill let him go, but Stanley was sure to want his twin back. He took the name Stanford and his brother's house. 30 years later, enter Dipper and Mabel Pines. They get to their Grunkle's house, a tourist trap known as The Mystery Shack. Stanley doesn't know anything about kids, so he is surprised when he discovers two 9 year old kids who say they are related to him.
