I know I already have a few stories already going but this popped in my head and I want to do this one as well, itll be a bit quicker, hopefully.
POV: CAPT. James Tucker
I walk into the command building for the base and look around, glancing down at my papers I nod my head and step up to the receptionist and give a small smile.
"Hello ma'am how are you?" I say, my southern accent making itself known
"I'm well sir and your?" she replies in a chipper tone as she looks up from her terminal and into my eyes.
"I'm well ma'am can you direct me to this room?" I ask while showing her my orders and the room name and number.
I listen to her directions and give her another smile wishing her a good day and moving on my way.
I find the room and inspect my self before entering, looking down I see my crisp and clean manilla colored dress uniform. I reach up and run my hand through my short hair before coming down to slide alobg my scar across my cheek. I knock and enter when I hear one of the people inside allowing me to.
I ooen the door and step inside seeing a major and lieutenant colonel sitting at a conference table with a pair of business men in suites who must be a WEY-YU personnel.
"sir, reporting as ordered." I salute as I stand at attention infront of the table.
"At ease son, your not an enlisted anymore."the lieutenant colonel says he stands up giveing me a salute as well.
"old habits die hard sir." I say and relax moveing to take a seat.
"do yoy know why your here James?" the major asks as he leans foreward to look at me more clear.
"something about a colony going completly dark." I say as I look at him.
"Thats correct James, and as your first mission as a fully fledge officer your in charge of the men going to check with this man here." He says while gesturing to one of the business guys, he has curly hair and an average face.
"I'm burke." he says as he stands up to shake my hand and I do so in kind.
"well mister burke, anything else?" I ask while sitting back down and relaxing slighty, not sitting with a stiff back.
"we just have to go talk to someone before we can go." He says as he takes out a folder and hands it to me
I look down at it and see a name on it 'ELLEN RIPLEY' I open it and glance over it, seeing who she is and how she matters. Landed on LV-426, the planet were heading to, claims to have found a xenomorph, cargo hauler destroyed.
"we trying to get her on board?" I ask.
"Thats the plan." He says as he stands up and brushes his suit off.
"Then lets go," I say as I stand up and move to peave before turning around "it was good to see you again sir." I say to the majmajor.
"like wise James." he says back while looking down at his tac pad.
everything past the briefing is the same and next chapter we'll be skipping to wakeing up from cryo.
