Nessa knocks on the door of Elphaba's room, hoping her sister is there. She really needs someone she trusts right now.
Galinda comes to the door and looks happy to see Nessa. "Hey, Nessa!" she exclaims. Nessa is surprised Galinda knows her name, since she has so many friends' names to remember.
"Hey, Galinda," Nessa says. "Is Elphaba here?"
Galinda looks around the small room. She hasn't noticed if Elphaba's there or not. "Doesn't look like it."
"Oh." Nessa starts to wheel away slowly, but Galinda calls out to her.
"Wait! Do you need someone to talk to? I love to talk to people!"
"Well…" Nessa considers this. Bright, bubbly Galinda might be just the person Nessa needs for advice. "Sure." Galinda ushers her into the room, sits down on her bed, and waits eagerly for Nessa to start speaking. Reluctantly, Nessa begins, "I have a crush on someone."
"Ooh!" Galinda squeals. "Who?"
"You can't tell anyone."
"I won't." Galinda isn't totally honest, but she has to know, no matter how many lies she has to tell.
"Boq," Nessa whispers, looking at the ground. "But he likes you."
"Ooh!" Galinda squeals again. "Bick! Wait, Bick likes me? No matter, you and Bick will be a perfect couple! Just give me a few hours to plan."
"Wait…what?"
"He's going to ask you out!"
Nessa frowns. "I don't think he knows I exist."
"Just you wait," Galinda assures her. "My plans haven't failed yet."
