Title: Merry Christmas, Luthor Style

Summary: A married Chloe and Lex share a Christmas moment. Short and sweet and a little bit sappy.

Disclaimer: I don't own SmallVille. I just write the story for fun, not for money.

Author's note: This isn't the third story of that "Wanna Bet?" trilogy. It's just something I'm doing for fun. Enjoy. And, as always, I love reviews.

She hung the popcorn-strings along the tree with him standing next to her, smiling. It was Christmas time and her favorite time of year. The tree was large and almost touched the top of the high ceiling. Outside, the snow was falling and the wind was blowing, but inside, the fire was blazing and it was warm and cozy.

"I love Christmas." She sighed as he handed her a few candy-canes to hang on the tree. "Don't you love it, Lex?" She looked at him, beaming like the moon.

"Of course I love it, Chloe." He kissed the top of her head. "I love it, because I have you to share it with." She smiled and went back to hanging the candy-canes.

"Remember last Christmas? When the Kent's came and ate dinner with us?" Chloe laughed at the thought of that night. The dog, Carol, had some how eaten the whole ham before it had even been cooked. Lex laughed, too.

"Hopefully things won't be so... eventful this year." He said.

"I hope something just as silly happens. It's always nice to have something you remember." Chloe looked at him as he handed her the gingerbread men. "What do you think we'll remember about this Christmas?"

"I don't know," he shrugged, "maybe we'll remember that nothing weird happened."

"That wouldn't be any fun." She said, holding out her hand for another gingerbread man.

The one he handed her had the head bit off. Chloe frowned and looked over at the man behind her. He had his hands behind his back and was smiling, innocently.

"Very funny, Alexander." She said. "Come on, no eating the gingerbread men."

"What are you going to do about it, Chloe?" He smirked in a teasing way and Chloe frowned.

"Oh, you've done it now, Luthor!" She jumped at him and brought him to the ground. They rolled over until he was on top. They laughed together.

Chloe looked into her husband's eyes. She loved this man. She couldn't picture her life without him. And he loved her just as much. They were, in a since, the perfect team and the perfect lovers.

"Merry Christmas, Chloe Sullivan Luthor." Lex whispered.

"Merry Christmas, Alexander Joseph Luthor." Chloe whispered back before pulling him into a deep kiss.

Sorry if it was too sappy, but I hope you liked it, anyway. Tell me what you think. Merry Christmas
