Prologue

"How's this one look?" Rose asked as she twisted the top half of her body to get a better look in the mirror.

"Ugh, try this next one."

"I'm gonna have to pick one sooner or later, Mum."

"It's your wedding, Rose; you have to have the perfect dress!" Jackie tried to convince her daughter.

"There's still three more months."

"And you should have had your dress picked out months ago!"

"It's already 12 o'clock. I'm gonna go change into my own clothes. We can come back tomorrow."

"We better!"

"I know Mum. Bye Mum."

On her way out of the bridal shop, Rose checked her phone for the time and any new messages. 'Hmm, must not've charged it before I left,' she thought to herself as the screen didn't light up when she pushed the button.

She hurried up her pace and couldn't help the smile from forming on her face as she got closer to her and her fiancé's favorite restaurant where they were having lunch today. As she was turning the last corner she heard something that stopped her in her tracks. She heard something she never thought, nor did she ever want to hear again.

Her blood ran cold when she looked across the alleyway to see, there on the ground was her fiancé. John, with his famous blue suite, red converse, and crazy, unkempt hair, was sprawled across the dirt covered floor. Rose didn't realize she was holding her breath until she inhaled sharply with relief as she saw his chest rise and fall, albeit very shallowly. He was still breathing. But for how long? She couldn't help the morbid thoughts from seeping into her mind.

She was brought back from her thoughts as she heard it again. That same sound that made her writhe in fear.

"EX-TER-MIN-ATE!"

Just a short prologue. Don't know when the first chapter will be up; hopefully next week sometime? I'm sort of a perfectionist, but not the best writer, so it takes me a while to be satisfied with what I write.

Hope you liked it! Suggestions appreciated!
