Five Sijo for Robin

Note of Explanation: The sijo is originally a form of traditional Korean poetry/verse comprised of three lines (or sections, as the lines are often visually divided for stylistic reasons) of 14-16 syllables each, with each line roughly consisting of two sections. Sijo have gained some limited popularity in English, and unlike other traditional Eastern forms of minimalist poetry (haiku, tanka, etc.) metaphor, figurative language in general, and explicitly emotional content is permitted by and even encouraged in the composition of the form. More information about sijo may be found online for the curious reader. These five sijo explore different facets of Robin's character, personality, and life. Please read and review!

microscope gazing eyes blink repeatedly while results are shared
sense of purpose pervades a gait of compassionate confidence
few know the burdens carried by those diminutive shoulders

Multichromatic (Polychrome)

a white lab coat rests below pale ears grabbed by a child's hands
an innocent heart encased in an infected body
jet hair sweeps across, displaying a spectrum of vivid color

in a joyful, intimate moment it occurs yet again
chains of sound bear down as the alarm pierces the shared warmth
she whips them around playfully, miming their use as horse reins

from a close distance the symmetry seems a painted conceit
the object of love and contempt, it radiates unknowingly
on the olfactory organ-a shimmering self-imposed mole

shards of glass scattered across floors tainted with invisible blood
muffled sobs expand tearing the thin rubber sheet of the night
much harm is done by those possessive of things undeserved
