Hi all who read this. This a poem I came up with at three in the morning after reading Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie and then the Hunger Games. The children are in the district and are starving, and I thought about the homeless children on the streets. This is kind of sad, so don't say I didn't warn you. Here is take me away. I don't own Peter Pan.
I am a lost child, all alone.
No mother or father to call my own.
I live alone, on a dirty street.
No one cares who I meet.
I have seen your shadow Peter Pan.
Please take me to Never Land.
I can be a lost kid and play pretend.
On an island were games never end.
I don't mind fighting Hook.
That 'ol codfish and sneaky snook.
All I long to do is to fly away.
And forever be young and play.
I can see you now Peter Pan.
Is it time to go to Never Land?
I don't need dust, my heart is already light
Let us fly to the second to the right.
