little post Halloween episode fic.

Will sat going through the case file from the double homicide that left a mother and her five year old daughter shot in their home. He couldn`t believe that anyone in their right mind would want to hurt a child let alone kill that child with its mother watching.

"here you go, one glass of red wine for one sexy husband" JJ said with a smile.

"you read my mind, thanks" Will said taking the glass from her hands.

JJ settled herself on the sofa next to Will taking a peek at the file that Will had been holding.

"double homicide, father was away on a business trip, mother and daughter were preparing for her dance recital the next day. Two robbers came in and just shot them without even a second thought."

JJ sighed and added "it feels like the is no end to all the monsters walking around"

Neither Will nor JJ heard the tiny steps of their three year old when he crept into the living room or when he slowly made his way back to his room after hearing his mommy talk about monsters walking around.

JJ had been away on a case for two days. Both Will and Henry missed her a lot not to mention that it was Halloween the next week and they had to take Henry shopping for his mentioned this to Henry as he was tucking him in and was surprised to learn that Henry didn`t want to go trick or treating this year because real monsters were gonna be out on the streets with all the kids who had dressed up as them. Will made sure JJ knew about this as soon as she called to tell him she would be home the next day after closing the case.

"what do you mean he doesn`t wanna do it this year?"

"apparently someone overheard us talk about monsters walking around four nights ago and it didn`t help matters when Jason told him at the playground that real monsters come out for Halloween as well."

"we definitely need a code of silence for our house, so what did you tell him?"

" I tried telling him it wasn`t true and that he could dress up as daddy for Halloween you know or I had this great idea about him dressing up as Barsad from The Dark Knight Rises. I loved that movie."

"Will our son has dressed up as a cop every Halloween, like the idea of him dressing up as Barsad though," she said "Josh Steward is pretty hot too if you wanna get any ideas for later when Henry is in bed" she added.

"got it cher" Will said through laughter

Halloween was the next day and Henry still didn`t want to go out so JJ decided to talk him into it with the help of her job and thank God it worked because she was all out of ideas at that point. Henry agreed to go trick or treating but only if he dressed up as uncle Spencer and JJ had no objections as long as Henry was put collecting candy. And who knew a mini Spencer Reid costume was so easy to find.
