Hello everyone, this two-shot is my first NejixTenten story. I love this pairing, sadly it will never happen because, well, Neji is dead. Here is the first chapter, if you love it then please let me know! I do NOT own Naruto!
The girl walking down the street with twin buns on her head was named TenTen. The long haired silent, mysterious guy with lilac eyes was named Neji. Young love… Just kidding, actually TenTen has loved Neji for a while but no one knows what Neji is thinking or feels. Anyway, the pair has been childhood friends and teammates. On this fine day TenTen asked Neji if he wanted to go eat ramen with her and he obliged. Sadly on their way to the ramen shop a group of fan girls huddled around Neji. Everyone knew he wasn't one for crowds but he just stood there, basking in the praise. Feeling very uncomfortable TenTen turned around to walk back to her home. Neji noticed her walking away, he saw how her mood and chakra seemed upset. He quickly wiggled his way away from the crowd and broke into a lite jog. He caught up with her and grabbed her wrist and spun her around. "Ten, what's wrong?" Holding back tears she gave a big fake smile, "Oh nothing, uh, I'm not really feeling well, I have a little headache." She lied like it was the easiest thing, hoping that Neji would believe her and not keep asking. "Why don't I walk you home then?" There it was, that little heart thump that Neji gives her when he does things like this, "There is no need, I am fine, you should go back to your fans." She motioned towards the group of girls giving her glares and impatiently waiting for him to come back. "Ten, I am your teammate, this is what we do for each other." 'Yea... Only teammates' "If you insist but won't they get mad?" "I don't care what they think." Neji grabbed her hand and started to walk towards her house with the emotionless face back on.
TenTen thought her heart was going jump out of her chest, she was with Neji in her house, alone. It was every girls dream to be in a house alone with your crush but not her. Why? Well, Neji so far has never shown any interest in her what-so-ever. "Do you want some tea?" "That would be nice, thank you" She got up and made tea while Neji was surveying the living room, looking at pictures and the assortment of various weapons mounted on the wall. TenTen was making tea until she spilled hot water on herself, "Ow" "Ten, are you okay?" Neji quickly got up and went to the kitchen to check on her. When he walked in he saw TenTen running cold water over her hand, "Yea I'm fine." He came over and grabbed her hand to look at it. He kissed her hand and asked where the first-aid kit was. After he found it, he started to treat the burn. "You should be more careful." "I know." An awkward silence was interrupted by TenTen asking about Neji's ideal girl. With a blushed face he answered, "Brown hair, tall thin, motherly, funny, kind, and athletic. How about you?" "Long hair, strong, powerful, silent-type, tall, lean, caring, and athletic" Neji looked at her, she basically described him. She got up to put the first- aid kit away but was stopped by Neji when he grabbed her and brought her in for a hug.
I know many people don't read these but this is something I would like to say. I know personally I don't like it when people are VERY rude in the reviews, yes if you don't like it then you can say 'I don't like this story' but when someone says 'this f***ing story sucks' i find that rude. I like criticism but you don't have to be so harsh, especially if it someone's first story. So just to be general try to be a little nicer, I've read some stories that aren't the greatest but I would never say something like that. If you don't like the pairing or whatever then don't read it, it's easy.
