Demyx strolled down the hallway, all the while strumming an air-sitar and formulation new melodies in his head. Number IX was too focused on his own music to notice Number II walking past him. The younger man bumped into the older man and said nothing. Demyx then continued walking as if nothing had happened.
The Freeshooter, however, was not satisfied. "Hey, you!" he yelled. Demyx, preoccupied with his music, continued to walk. Xigbar yelled louder. "HEY!" There was still no reply from the Melodious Nocturne. Xigbar then stormed down the hallway after Number IX. After catching up to him, Number II grabbed his shoulders and shoved him up against the wall.
Demyx then acknowledged Xigbar's now obvious presence. He could feel the arrow gun wielder's hot breath on his face. Pink-faced and flustered, Demyx reached up with one hand and pushed Xigbar's face away from his own. "Too close, man," he said. "I need my personal space. And what the hell was that for?"
Xigbar calmed himself down a bit before replying, "What you need are some manners. Ever heard of respect for your elders?"
"You don't look all that old. Besides the streaked hair and all."
Xigbar blushed slightly. "Then how about respect for your superiors."
"Fine," Demyx said, rolling his eyes and folding his arms. "I'm so sorry. Happy now, old man?"
Xigbar ignored Demyx's sarcasm. "I guess," he said bluntly.
"Well, what do you want me to do?" Number IX shouted. Xigbar thought for a moment, coming up with nothing. He was about to tell Demyx to continue on his merry little way, when the younger man grabbed his face and pulled him into a kiss.
At first, Xigbar was trying to pull himself away from Number IX. However, he soon found himself enjoying the feeling of Demyx's soft lips on his. He began to kiss back, and he pushed the young man against the wall once more. Demyx allowed him entrance into his mouth, and Xigbar gladly accepted. Number II began to softly bite the Melodious Nocturne's lips and lick his neck. He relished hearing the young man's moans of pleasure. If Xigbar had a heart, this would've been where it exploded out of his chest.
After a few moments, they broke apart, and the two Nobodies held each other. Still in the embrace, Xigbar looked down at Demyx and asked, "Why'd you do that all of the sudden?"
Demyx buried his face in Xigbar's chest, to embarrassed to show his bright-red face. "I wanted to make you happy," he replied simply. Number II and Number IX let go of each other. It was silent until the Freeshooter placed a hand on the young man's head and ruffled his mullet-styled hair. "Well guess what, kid," he said, kissing Demyx's forehead gently. "It worked."
