A/N: So this is a little speculative poem I wrote about Ryou and Bakura. It's AU, kinda.

This is Bakura's POV.

This is Ryou's POV.

The Raven's Candle

I am eternal darkness:
The sweep of a raven's wings,
The starless stretch of midnight sky,
And the shadows dancing beneath your feet.

I am always light:
The swift flight of a dove,
The sun's rays reflected on the moon,
And the swirling white clouds above your head.

He is but a single candle,
Flickering in my vast realm of shadows.
Yet, he cannot be extinguished,
Shining through everlasting night.

He is a cloud of suffocating smoke.
I choke, but breathe on.
His shadows afflict me like a disease,
And I struggle, but I survive.

I am eternal darkness,
Thriving on the death of the light.
But his resilient spirit, the lonely candle,

Calls out to me like a beacon.

I am always light,
Though his darkness never leaves me.
I wonder how long I'll last,
Slipping silently under his cold gaze.

His eyes are wide in fear,
But from him comes a strange warmth,
Drips from his soul, crawls through the dark,
And latches onto mine.

His eyes are narrowed in hate,
But I see him hesitate, trembling
Like a man approaching his deathbed,
As he seat himself by my side.

The cold of a thousand snowstorms,
The heat of a thousand suns,
The joy, the hate, the shared sorrow,
All collide, all become one.

I am always light,
And I am afraid no longer.
He is my yami, my black blanket,
My shadow.

I am eternal darkness,
And I despise no longer.
He is my hikari, my little candle,
My light.
