(This title came from Anko, snakes obviously, Genma, Senbon, and Raidou, which what information I could find he often says "Time is money".)
The ANBU headquarters isn't what you'd expect. It isn't dark and there aren't pipes running over head dripping strangle liquids. Steam doesn't randomly explode from the wall and screams don't echo through the halls. (All of these things are true of the interrogation area, which resides in the basement.) The HQ is a building, nothing special, it's the people within that make it so. The elite of Konoha spend most of their waking hours here, and a solid portion of their sleeping. The common area houses a desk where mission reports are turned in. A vast array of mismatched furniture. A fridge kept stocked at all times, coffee pot showing signs of abuse from instances it dared to be empty, tables strewn with paper, paper targets on the walls, and a hallway leading away to various offices and sections of the beast that is ANBU. The training grounds outside of the walls are restricted to ANBU only, to preserve the mental stability and lives of the genin. In one training ground, the marks of destruction are fresh. Three friends stand passing a canteen of water back and forth. A purple haired kunoichi, trench coat riddled with kunai holes fluttering in the breeze. A chocolate haired man, swiping his hand through sweaty locks before retying his bandana, smiling around a senbon. Hair so dark it's nearly black, a scar covering most of his face that at first glance disfigures, but on closer inspection enhances his looks. ANBU team, code name Sting. Anko, Genma, and Raidou where three spikes on the same shuriken. Deadly and fast, they were the team that went in on the quick and dirty runs. Anko was the wildcard, she went without a plan, and trusted her teammates to save her if and when she miscalculated. Genma was the executor, he made sure the plan and the mission never failed, he was brilliant but prefered to follow orders. Raidou is the tactician with blood on his pen. He may make the plan and call the shots, but when it comes time to follow through he is knee deep in the blood right next to his team. Those core traits of their personalities carried over into the one thing that mattered more than ANBU. Their relationship. Monogamy was never Genma's thing, and commitment was never Anko's. Loving his two idiot teammates and putting their pieces back together was always Raidou's. So when Genma, ever the pervert suggested not just a threesome, but a three way relationship, Raidou felt like finally Kami-sama was on his side. Anko went through all of the expected stages. Fear, masked as anger. Insecurity, masked as anger. The acceptance, masked as anger. (Only because her boys had challenged her to a spar, then tied her up and locked her in Genmas apartment for two days). It had been two years since two days had been spent learning the differences between how the fought together as teammates, and how the loved together as partners. The look on Kakashi's face when he had hunted them down for a mission and found them in what looked to be a very accurate rendition of Icha-Icha violence chapter four. His one visible eye had squinted into near nothingness, and the jaw under the mask had dropped. (He reported to Tsunade that team Sting had been "difficult to find", she later learned the truth.) The three broke the rules, and that was why they were great. A team full of love, that channeled into rage. Mission success was higher than any recorded team. And so, they remained as a team. The remained as lovers. A team that was three broken souls, mended as one. ANBU team Sting, their passions run deadly and strong.
