Dancing in the Rain
It was raining cats and dogs. Pouring, in fact. Any sane person would be inside right now. But no, I, Draco Malfoy, was outside in a torrent of rain that had started off as a light drizzle but water was now coming out of the sky like a waterfall. Why, you may ask? Why would any sane man be out on a day like this when he could easily be indoors? Was it because I was lost somewhere and didn't know where to go? No. Did I lose something valuable out here that I could only search for out here and right now? No.
Did I honestly have nothing better to do? Of course not, I'm Draco Malfoy, I have much better things I could do with my time than this.
The reason I was out here could be summed up in two words: Astoria Greengrass. My girlfriend was currently outside dancing in the rain, golden hair soaked and blue eyes shining with happiness. She was completely sopping wet from head to toe and everywhere in between.
"Astoria, we have to go in now." I told her as she spun around; not caring that the rain was making her dark skirt as well as the rest of her clothing cling to her body and her pink blouse was almost translucent due to all the water.
"Oh come on Draco, this is fun!" She laughed.
"Astoria, you're going to catch a cold." I argued attempting to reason with her.
"Well if you're so worried about getting sick, go inside then." Astoria twirled around some more. "I'm staying out here, though."
I knew that the only way I could convince her to go inside would be if I joined her. Sighing, I walked over to where she was dancing as care free as a child, and reluctantly joined her. Astoria let out a squeal of glee and I felt my mouth twitch slightly. So there we were, the two of us dancing in the rain, without a care in the world. We stopped when we heard thunder though, and went inside. I shook my head, thinking to myself about how only Astoria Greengrass can make me do these crazy things, like dancing in the rain.
