It was Christmas Day when Alice was walking down the sidewalk to Dan's house.
"Hey Alice!" called Klaus.
She turned to him. "Oh, hi Klaus, merry Christmas." Alice smiled.
"Hey, um . . . Alice, I. . . I got you a present, and I want you to open it." Klaus held a small box that was wrapped with a red ribbon.
"It's very pretty." Alice looked at Klaus. "But I'm afraid I didn't get you something nice like you got me."
"It's okay Alice. I hope you like it." He handed the box to Alice.
"Thank you very much." Alice opened the box to see a necklace with the letter "K" on it. Then Klaus held out another one that looked similar, but it had the letter "A" on it.
"I got one for you, and one for me, so that whenever you see the "K", you'll think of me." Klaus blushed red.
"Oh, well thanks. I'll always think of you when I see it." Alice smiled and held out a box that was medium sized and gave it to Klaus.
"Thanks Alice." He opened it to see a new outfit. "I love it! Did you make it?"
Alice blushed. "Yes, I did. I stayed up all night sewing it. I'm glad that you like it."
"Alice, if you'll excuse me for a moment." He then kissed Alice on the cheek and was gone.
