Taiwan stood in the middle of the pale painted cross walk lines. The long sleeves of her qipao rustling from a dry gust of wind blowing past her. The wind tossed her rebellious curl to the side as it continued moving silently down the building lined street. Her brown eyes searched the turquoise sky above her, only for the view to be partially obstructed. She cleaned the bouquet of ten purple hyacinths in her hand. Her eyes narrowed as they flicked across the offensive yellow netting that was strung from building to building. More would be done for her children but how long would it last?
A/N: Just a few words over a drabble. I didn't see anything on the Foxconn scandal so I decided to post something. Daily Tech has an article on the anti suicide nets. As for meaning I have no idea what they do for suicides in Taiwan or China. I know in the US we do crosses, flowers or the Star of David. I picked hyacinths because they mean sorrow and i highly dislike roses.
