"Text me when you land in New York, yeah?"

The ginger-haired man said this in a sad tone and the pretty woman in his arms nodded her head against his chest as she tightened her hold on him.

"I will," Emma answered. "Oh Rupes, I'll miss you."

Rupert kissed the top of his girlfriend's head. It wasn't the first time they will be in separated countries but this was the first one since they started dating. It's part of their job after all but it didn't mean that they liked an inch of it.

"I'll miss you too. I really wish you didn't have to leave," Rupert said with a frown.

Emma pulled back a few inches and wiped her teary eyes.

"We can't help it. This is what we signed up for ever since we signed our Harry Potter contracts years ago."

Rupert smiled a bit and nuzzled Emma's nose with his. "Yeah, but what I didn't sign up for was to fall in love with you."

Emma felt herself blushed. How Rupert can still make her feel giddy after all this years she'll never know. "You technically did, 'Mr. Weasley.'"

Rupert winked. "The other way, I mean. And it still happened though. Don't you reckon it was a doing of some universal power?"

Emma arched an eyebrow. "Like fate, you mean?"

"Sure, yeah."

Emma laughed, running her fingers through ginger locks. "Talking about the world's philosophical wonders, are we?"

Rupert grinned and Emma's heart flipped like it usually did when Rupert smiled like that at her. "But hey I'm not complaining, am I?"

Emma hugged her boyfriend once again and they stayed like that in a comfortable silence.

Rupert whispered, "Emma?"

"Hmm?"

"Just don't go running off with some American bloke in New York, alright?"

Emma pulled back completely and said hotly, "Of course I won't! How could you even think that I would — and why are you laughing may I ask?"

Rupert laughed as he snaked his arms around the irritated woman's waist and pulled her back. He kissed her forehead and said, "I was joking, love."

"Hmph," came Emma's response but she snuggled back to Rupert's chest nonetheless.

"Rupert?"

"Yeah?"

"Don't go running off with some mysterious girl when I'm away."

Rupert smiled and pushed back Emma's head gently. He cupped her cheek as he whispered, "Why should I, when I already have you?"

Emma grinned back at him and soon they were giggling at each other. This may be the first of their goodbyes as a couple that their careers demanded of them but atleast from this time on they knew surely the other one will be waiting for them.
