Things don't make sense. This is an unfortunate fact. Actually, 'unfortunate' is the wrong term. 'Crappy' better explains how I feel about it. But it's true. Very little in life is logical. We're supposed to be honest, except when we might hurt other people... but it doesn't matter if our honesty hurts us. We're supposed to be sincere even when we don't care.
But some things are logical, dependable. Money, for example. It makes sense. You sell your items so that the most profit is made, so you can then buy from other people who are also trying to make profits, so they can buy things, and so on. Capitalism makes sense, and it always works that way. If you're trying to run a profitable business, you follow certain rules. That's sensible.
Emotions aren't. They make people do strange things and are often inappropriate for the situation at hand. Like how people will laugh when they're scared, and act tough when they want to cry. Love, especially. All kinds of rules get broken for love. People accept things, do things they wouldn't do. But then, see, something goes wrong and all of a sudden, even though you were perfectly happy, now you're not happy and you're not together and you blame him because you didn't do anything wrong, you couldn't have, and so it has to be his fault because it has to be somebody's fault and he's the only other one. Only, deep down, you wonder why he left, and maybe it's your fault after all, because you're the defective one, you know, the ex-demon, only now it's ex-ex-demon, thanks to D'Hoffryn, and even though you're back to exactly what you were before he came along and changed everything to begin with, and you can finally pick up where you left off, it's all different, and wrong, and what really makes it worst at the end of the day is that, against all logic - because, see, emotions don't make sense, not even in how you have emotions now and you're a demon and demons aren't supposed to have emotions, he said so and you believed it, believed everything he said, because he was yours and you were his and everything was perfect. So what makes it the worst, in its illogical, senseless way, is that you still love him.
