Authors note: I was looking up Lucy on youtube so I could find a nalu amv, but I found the song Lucy by Skillet. I decided to base this story off of the song so here you go!
"Hey Lucy I remember your name"
...
"Hey Lucy!"
Lucy Heartfilia turned and saw her best friend, the one and only Natsu Dragneel, running to her with a huge smile on his face.
"Hey Natsu! Whats up?" She greeted him with her signature smile.
His smile got replaced with a guilty frown. With a puzzled look Lucy reached over and put a hand on his shoulder. "Something wrong?"
The pink haired male pulled his shoulder away from her grasp and put a hand behind his head, his eyes dropping to the floor in a way that showed he was feeling guilty of what he was about to do. " Actually... We're adding Lisanna to our team..."
"Oh cool! The more the merrier! I haven't gotten to know her very well yet, this will be a great opportunity!" Lucy smiled brightly and began to think of how great of a team they would be now.
Natsu winced, which caught Lucy's attention quickly. "Well, she is joining our team... but..."
"But what? Is everything okay?" She interrupted him, getting a bad feeling about what he was about to say.
" We're suspending you from the team until you apologize."
Lucy's jaw dropped in surprise and confusion. She opened her mouth to question where this was coming from, and more importantly WHY, but he continued talking. "Before you ask its because you're I heard... really surprising stories from her. She told how you've been acting lately, and you haven't been very nice to her. She just came to me crying about how you were calling her words I'd rather not repeat." Natsu looked only at the floor while he spoke, not having the guts to look at her eyes.
Lucy looked over his shoulder blinking away tears and saw Lisanna smirk, wiggling her fingers and mouthing 'Goodbye' at her. Why? She'd done nothing Natsu had accused her of!
The girl stopped her thoughts to reply to Natsu. "Just so you know, I have been the nicest I can be to her! I've barely even spoken to her, but each time I have I showed genuine kindness because I want to be as close with her as I am with all my other guildmates. So you can add her to your 'team' and leave me behind, but you all just lost a friend. If you were REAL friends you wouldn't accuse me based on lies from someone who doesn't know a damn thing about me! Real friends would know me better than that!" By the end of her rant she was now pointing at all of Team Natsu and yelling.
Erza, Gray, and Happy had no clue what was going on, they hadn't agreed to or even known about the idea of suspending Lucy, nor had Lisanna come running to them about the apparent issue of Lucy's behavior. The three mages only saw their dear friend pointing her finger at them with tears in her eyes, yelling at them with a voice so filled with emotion it broke their hearts.
After Lucy had made her point, and due to the fact her voice was cracking, she ran towards Levy McGarden, the only person that she felt comfortable being around at the moment. Levy welcomed the blonde with a hug and allowed her to cry on her shoulder, stroking her hair in an effort to stop her tears. Within minutes, the guild was either giving Lucy a hug, threatening Team Natsu from across the room, or lying drunk on the floor. Even Gajeel was patting the celestial mage's back. Master himself was standing on the table and trying to make her stop crying, wondering how his greatest team, whom he had known since they were children, were able to cause their beloved teammate such sad tears.
Natsu watched his old best friend from a distance, his focus on her and not on the guild members who were yelling in his face. All he did was stand up for a friend... why was he to blame? It was awkward having to watch the person he had grown to like greatly as a friend cry.
Eventually Lucy put her head up and thanked everyone for their kindness. Natsu's dragon senses were able to pick up her saying she was going on a mission alone in order to clear her head. She had made it perfectly clear to everyone that she needed to have some time to herself, and after waving them goodbye she grabbed a request that payed a fair amount and turned to leave. She was completely silent as she walked out the guild door.
" Natsu! What did you do?! Since when did we agree to kick her off!?" Gray and Erza were now aware of what had happened, and because they had made it clear that they weren't the ones who did this to the celestial mage, they were spared from the insults and threats from the angry guild members. A firey aura made its way to the front of the group. Much to everyone's surprise, it was the tiny blue haired bookworm who had tear marks all over her shoulder who marched to the front of the group.
Levy began yelling so many bad things at Natsu that the guild members themselves were cowering in fear by the time she finally had to take a breath and fell to the ground. Only Gajeel was still standing, and he simply punched the fire mage to the ground, and directly after helped Levy stand back up.
An argument broke out between the large group of wizards. Through the confusion, only Mirajane heard Lisanna say, " Serves you right Lucy."
The older Strauss walked to her younger sibling and grabbed her. She dragged her to the front of the group and released her. "Lisanna, I want you to tell everyone why you lied about Lucy being nice to you. I want the truth." Mirajane grumbled this in a voice loud enough for everyone to hear.
With a gulp Lisanna said, " Lucy was practically my replacement! She always talked with Mira-nee and was Natsu's new best friend! I felt like an outsider, being replaced by a girl who's been here for so little time. So I told Natsu Lucy was being mean to me and asked him if I could join his team. I didn't want HER to become Natsu's new bride-to-be!"
"Did Lucy ever say those terrible things to you? Did she ever treat you rudely, or were you so jealous of the fact that Lucy was on a team with Natsu that you stooped down to lies in order to get arrention?" Mira was growling now, in anger and disapointment at her beloved sibling.
"Well..."
"How could I have been so dumb, of course Lucy would never do that. She's the kindest person I've ever met. I've got to go find Lucy! And Lisanna... You're off the team! Don't EVER talk to me again!" Natsu yelled as he turned to run through the doors. When he exited the doors of the guild in pursuit of Lucy, he stopped dead in his tracks. No more than twenty feet in front of the guild was a sight he will never forget.
A blonde haired mage with a guild request in her hand was laying on the cobblestone with her throat cut, her name written in her own blood on her forehead.
Da da da... Tell me how I did and if I should keep writing. Until next time! By the way I love Lisanna dearly and it hurts me too use her as a bad guy
